First bit of random....
It seems that this is the weirdest week ever at school this week. Our transition plan (for the student who has to travel to the farthest school everyday) has changed in a big way from what we originally thought would happen, and I somewhat feel like a bus driver this week :/
I shouldn't complain, it has not been unpleasant, I've actually been able to observe another teacher at another school every day this week (and how often do we get to do THAT??) which has been great, BUT...
I'm driving a bus, 4 times a day, every day, and I have no clue where the end will be? Ugh, it's a little frustrating. Thinking on the funny/positive side, I feel pretty confident that I won't have my final observation (unannounced) anytime soon, haha...
Other randoms...
Little M (or Bebo as he is more commonly known around here) has his first birthday party this weekend, small, close family and friends, simple...dinner, cake, ice cream, done (much easier and simpler than Mollee's....where we had well over 50 people, but still SO FUN). Well, when we planned our menu, we were thinking, yes, it will be JANUARY, it will be at least somewhat cold, so let's serve chili, salad, and then cake and ice cream. Who doesn't like chili when it's, well...chili outside? We thought it was perfect (of course chicken nuggets and mac and cheese would be available for kiddos), then, what happens, oh, the weather you say? hmm....70 degrees on Saturday, yes, SEVENTY!!!! WHAAATTT? How does this happen, where is winter?
So, we have scratched our chili idea, and we are just doing a big taco/burrito bar...and then cake and ice cream. It will be great, but I cannot believe the weather! I even joked with Jon that we could grill out, and the kids can play in the sprinkler and water table, haha.
Still on the party (but not the weather or the food), I have about a million things to do before Saturday. Some things will have to be done ON Saturday, but the prep that will take place tomorrow night makes me tired thinking about it....
I'm also trying to figure out how to make sure both M's take a nap before the party at 4pm....I'm thinking maybe swimming in the morning, or geeze, with the weather, we may hit up the playground! I also wouldn't doubt that Jon ends up driving around with both kids in the car so they can get naps while I do party prep, ha, you gotta do what you gotta do, right? We can't have cranky kids at a party! :)
Okay, so off to make lists, and of course, sew a bit (www.facebook.com/MMStitching).
G'night y'all!
