Dissapointed

So, this may be a little TMI, but I had a goal of giving Mollee my milk for at least 6 months (which would be Christmas), and then weaning throughout January and February and being done (or maybe longer depending on how it was going!?). I honestly thought, especially with my mom being a past LLL Leader that this whole nursing thing was "in the bag"....boy was I wrong! Nursing and Mollee have never had a great relationship, literally, she has been a non conformist from day 1 with this, but we pushed through, and I was happy, knowing that I was providing her with the best possible nutrition...giving her what is supposed to be given to her! Easy right? WRONG!!!!!!!!!! Once I went back to work (M was 3 months old), things were going well, I felt like I had not only a decent system going (pump at work, nurse at home), but I also had a good amount frozen, so once again, this should be in the bag! ;)

About 4 weeks after I had returned to work, Mollee I believe wanted me to know she was NOT happy that her Mama was going to work, so she stopped nursing for about 5 days, she threw a fit everytime I tried. Okay, change of plans...I will pump....around the clock! HA...still...lots in the freezer...we can do this!

So as Mollee grows, she needs more milk, so gradually, despite my pumping efforts, I dipped into the freezer...but remember, my freezer is still STOCKED with milk. So with 8 weeks left to go (until Christmas brea), I still thought we were ok. Now, as I stare at 2.5 weeks until break...we are LIMPING along, AND supplementing with formula! OMG...how did this happen!?!? She is still getting more than half her diet as milk, and now she is starting cereal, which takes some pressure off...but SHEESH...I ask again...how did this happen? Ever since surgery last week, despite pumping every 2 hours (3 at the most) for the past week....its....just....dissapearing! :( I am taking an herbal supplement, drinking water like a camel, and BARELY making it.

Forget making it PAST Christmas, I will be beyond thankful if we can make it!

She has kept us on our toes at EVERY turn, and what a wonderful ride it is!!!!
