an honest attempt...for reals y'all!

Not that there are any readers...yet, I am going to make an honest-to-goodness attempt to blog. One of my pleasures almost each evening, after my day is done is to read some of my FAVE blogs, mostly written by people I do not know (beside the point) and I think that maybe, JUST MAYBE, I could blog regularly too...and then in 5 years I can go back and read EXACTLY what was happening in our happy little life here in east Tennessee. We shall see...
Currently I am a wife to Jon, and a mother to Boone (a lab), Smoky (a german shepherd), and the oh-so-sweet Mollee Kate (our daughter...born this past June). I teach during the days...but live for my evenings and weekends with MK.
And to be sure to document what is going on with life right now...I had surgery last Tuesday (yes, 2 days before Thanksgiving) on a hernia that I aquired during my LARGE pregnancy, and the effort that I put forth trying to meet our sweet girl. Recovery has gone well, the worst part has been not being able to carry M in her carseat, which makes going out and about with her by myself a real problem. On the good side, I've been at home with her since last Tuesday...and I still have one more day (tomorrow) to hang out with her. It's like the good old days before I went back to work, only now she takes naps, is super vocal, laughing, yelling, squeeling, and overall completely fabulous and such a pleasant baby. Not to say that she wasn't pleasant before, but really, I stayed home for the first 12 weeks, so really at that point her life REVOLVED around eating and sleeping, and if one of those things weren't happening, there were also lots of tears. :)
So that is life right now for us. Happy, little family!
